Synopsis
Navigation and precise time are enabling our modern world. But just how accurate is GPS? Does Galileo make a big difference? Are there just too many satellites? How do you know if you’re being jammed or spoofed? Can the US turn off GPS? How do mobile devices provide position indoors?
In addition to addressing these questions, the talk will review the latest alternative and complementary positioning technologies, the use of “big data” techniques and augmented reality.
The talk will be pitched to be accessible to all, not only to those with technical knowledge.
