Synopsis
The early 20th century was a time of dramatic change in military technology and thinking. The arrival of the internal combustion engine had triggered the development of revolutionary weapons, chief among them the tank and the aircraft. Could these new weapons win wars? How would future wars be fought? Had Britain started to prepare for war too late? Was the RAF preparing for the right war?
